Anatomy and physiology, in depth
The largest unit in the course: the structure and function of the body’s major systems, blood and respiration, and the exchange of materials at the cellular level that explains performance at the macro level.
Movement science you apply
Break movement into phases and age-appropriate stages, then design a fundamental movement program for a specific age group and a training program of your own.
Sport in society
The history and cultural significance of sport, the struggles faced by minority groups in sport, amateur versus professional sport, and the hidden messages in sports advertising.
