The Flexible Online High School for Ontario Students

Standard schedules don’t work for everyone — and that’s okay. OES is built around your life: study when it suits you, move at your own pace, and earn the same OSSD credits as any day school.

University-Ready: Our OSSD credits are recognised by all major Canadian and international universities.

Flexible Learning: Study 100% online, on your own schedule, from anywhere in Ontario.

Direct Support: Work 1-on-1 with Ontario Certified Teachers, with a 24-hour response time by email.

Don’t let one grade stand between you and your dream program. Our upgrade courses are a streamlined path to a higher GPA, with a focused workload built for students who have already seen the material.

Higher GPA: Popular upgrades include ENG4U, MHF4U, MCV4U and SCH4U.

Apply with Confidence: The higher grade appears on your official Ontario transcript.

Life happens, but it shouldn’t stop your education. Whether you’re recovering a credit or picking up a missing requirement, OES gives you a safety net traditional classrooms can’t match.

24/7 On-Demand Tutoring: Never get stuck on a tough concept with instant access to instructors.

Guidance Counsellors: Dedicated support to plan the exact credits you need to graduate.

Free up your timetable for next year, avoid conflicts, or earn a credit your school doesn’t offer. Every fee includes all materials, instruction by an Ontario Certified Teacher, tests, modules, simulations and fully online proctored exams — at no extra charge.

100% Flexible: Work around your personal commitments while meeting all course requirements.

Start Today: No waiting for a new semester — access your course within 24 hours.

Student Story: From Mark Upgrades to Waterloo

Shazaib is an OES graduate and current University of Waterloo Physical Sciences student. He upgraded four credits — SPH4U, SBI4U, MCV4U and MHF4U — after not fully grasping the concepts at another institution, and chose OES for all four courses.

Supported by Ontario Certified Teachers

Any high school student in Ontario, across Canada, or abroad can enroll at Ontario eSecondary School (OES), a Ministry-inspected online high school (BSID #667186). There is no entrance exam. You register online, provide your most recent report card or transcript, and can start your course within 1–2 business days.

Yes. OES is inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education and authorized to grant OSSD credits. Credits appear on your official Ontario transcript and are accepted by universities and colleges across Ontario, British Columbia, the rest of Canada, and internationally. OES students have been accepted by the University of Toronto, the University of Waterloo, and Toronto Metropolitan University.

Yes. Students retake Grade 11 and 12 courses such as ENG4U, MHF4U, MCV4U, and SCH4U to raise a previous mark. OES upgrade courses have a focused workload designed for students who have already seen the material, and the new grade appears on your Ontario transcript for university and college applications.

Yes. Credits earned at any Ontario school transfer through your Ontario Student Record (OSR), and credits from other provinces or countries can be assessed for equivalency through Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR). A guidance counsellor reviews your transcript and confirms exactly which credits you still need for your OSSD.

OES courses are 100% online and self-paced. Each 110-hour credit course includes all materials, instruction and assessment by an Ontario Certified Teacher, free 24/7 on-demand tutoring, and a 24-hour teacher response time by email. Final exams are proctored fully online at no extra charge — included in the course fee. Under Ontario’s updated 2026–27 assessment rules, final marks in Grade 11 and 12 English, math and science courses combine coursework (65%), a mandatory written final exam (25%), and attendance and participation (10%), in accordance with Growing Success. Most students finish a course in 4–16 weeks, and the credit is then added to your official record.
