Our credits are accepted by public high schools, universities & colleges. Start today!

At the Ontario eSecondary School online high school all our courses are accredited by the Ministry of Education (BSID# 667186) and lead to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). Our credits are accepted by all Ontario public school boards and are recognized by all Canadian, U.K. and international colleges and universities. At OES, students are required to complete their course in twelve months. However, if a student prefers, they can complete it in four weeks by working efficiently through the course material (exceeding 12 months will require the purchase of a course extension).

Shazaib is a graduate of Ontario eSecondary School and current University of Waterloo Physical Sciences student who was looking to improve the grades of his previous earned credits. He was enrolled in several science and math courses through OES, including SPH4USBI4UMCV4UMHF4U. Shazaib was taking these courses in order to get a better understanding of the concepts after taking the course through a different institution and not fully grasping the concepts. He chose Ontario eSecondary School to take all four courses.

Why take a course with OES?

  1. Upgrade marks

Many Ontario high school students register with OES as they search for flexibility in their schedule in hopes of achieving a mark they desire. We offer a wide range of compulsory and elective courses for several high school grades. Additionally, we offer upgrade courses which are courses you have taken once but need to take once again in hopes or earning a higher mark. Upgrade courses have a reduced assessment workload and can be completed more quickly helping you meet your deadline. See the list of upgrade courses we offer here.

  1. Retake a Failed Course

Some students enrol with OES to earn a high school credit course in which they were previously unsuccessful. With our supportive Ontario Certified Teachers (OCT) and 24/7 online tutoring service we will do our best to help you succeed.

  1. Fast-Track

Students also take  courses with OES to free up their timetable for the upcoming school year, to avoid timetable conflicts, or to earn a credit not available anywhere else. Take a look at a list of our courses here.

Samantha Higgins, Grade 12 Student

"I signed up with OES because I needed Grade 12 English and my day school schedule was full. I registered a few weeks into the semester and I was able to complete the course before midterms. OES sent my grades to OUAC and I was able to finish my course without any concerns."
