Why Take a Summer School Course with OES?

Need to earn an Ontario high school credit this summer? Students enrol with us to upgrade their marks, meet university or college admission requirements, retake failed courses, or work ahead for the following school year.

Summer is a busy time, that’s why you can register for OES courses anytime — the fast, convenient way to complete a high school credit.

Upgrade a Mark

Many summer students register with OES to upgrade a mark by repeating a course which you can complete in as quickly as 4 weeks. We have listed our most popular upgrade courses under the courses tab at the top of the page. However, any course can be upgraded for a better mark and it will be added to your existing transcript. You can learn more about eligibility for these courses here.

Retake a Failed Course

Some students enrol with OES to earn an OSSD credit course in which they were previously unsuccessful. Whether you need an elective or compulsory credit we can help!

Work Ahead

Students also take summer courses with OES to free up their timetable for the upcoming school year, to avoid timetable conflicts, or to earn a credit not available anywhere else.

Reach Ahead

Grade 8 students, or students who have recently completed Grade 8, sometimes choose to earn OSSD credits with OES before they begin secondary school. Be sure to review the reach ahead program eligibility and consultation requirements before registering.

My experience with oes was absolutely amazing. The course was very easy to get through and everything was well done, all my assignments were marked quickly and was given thorough feedback. Anytime I had a question or concern I was met with a very quick reply with everything answered. I needed my final mark and credit uploaded to my transcript for OCAS so it could be sent to the college I was enrolled in on a conditional offer and I had about a week or two left for them to receive everything so I wouldn’t get my admission revoked. After constant emails on my end everything was done in a very timely manner. The school and my teacher was very patient with me and tried to get everything done for me as fast as possible even though I was asking for things during the Christmas break, they still took time out of their day to make sure my request were done. This school is amazing if you need an extra high school credit, they’re so patient, quick, very caring and I highly recommend using this as an option. Overall my experience was incredible and I couldn’t ask for a better online school

Highly Recommend OES High School! I had an incredible experience with OES High School and highly recommend their online schooling program. The professors are not only knowledgeable but also kind and supportive, making learning a truly positive experience. I had the privilege of learning from Mrs. Chandroo, an excellent teacher who went above and beyond to ensure I understood the material and felt confident in my work. Throughout my time with OES, I gained a lot of valuable knowledge and skills. The flexibility and quality of the education provided have made it an outstanding choice for online learning!

I made my own individual plane to done this course within a month. My instructor was so helpful me to go forward for my success. Finally, I reached my goal.

My experience with OES went really well to say the least. When I had two credits I had to get, that were waitlisted at almost every school board by me, I was able to get it through them, and they were able to accommodate a very short deadline for me! Their staff are also amazing and respond very quickly, and the platform is very easy to use and straight forward. Would recommend for sure

My experience with OES was amazing from the very beginning. I was able to finish an entire upgrade course in less than 2 weeks time thanks to Mara and Mr. Reel. Both staff members were very accommodating to my situation. Mr. Reel was an amazing teacher ensuring I got all the help I needed to finish my course on time. He was very patient and kind. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to finish a private school course!
