From flexible learning to earning your credits—discover the seamless path to success at OES.

No matter where you are on your educational journey (OES) provides the flexibility and support you need to succeed.

OES is a Ministry-inspected Ontario online high school (BSID #667186) where you can start any course today and finish in as little as 4 weeks — or take up to 12 months. Students use OES to raise a mark before university applications, recover a missed credit, or fast-track a course their school couldn’t timetable. Every course is taught by an Ontario Certified Teacher, includes free 24/7 tutoring, and ends with a proctored final exam — so your credits already meet Ontario’s new 2026–27 exam standards. Fully recognized by universities and colleges across Canada.

Not every adult learner needs a full diploma. Many mature students come to OES for a single prerequisite — the Grade 12 English, math, or science a college or university program requires — or to upgrade a mark and change career paths. Others are finishing their OSSD, and often faster than expected: through the Ministry’s PLAR process, we can grant up to 16 Grade 9–10 credits and up to 10 senior credits for your prior education, work, and training, leaving as few as 4 courses to graduate. Either way, it’s 100% online, self-paced, and built around a job and a family. Our guidance team maps your shortest route before you spend a dollar.

From the Gulf to South Asia, Hong Kong to Europe, students in 50+ countries earn their OSSD with OES as their pathway to Canadian universities — no study permit required, because everything is fully online. Courses run on your schedule, not Toronto’s: free 24/7 tutoring means real support in your hours, and students switch from British, American, or IB systems at any point in the year. Your existing credits are assessed first through a formal equivalency evaluation, so you know exactly where you stand before you enroll. Proctored final exams are written online from home, included in the fee.

Quebec students can move from Secondaire 5 directly to university by completing Grade 12 OSSD credits online with OES — a one-year, Ministry-inspected alternative to two years of CEGEP. Study 100% online from anywhere in Quebec, on your own pace, with Ontario Certified Teachers and 24/7 tutoring included. Our credits are recognized by universities across Canada, so you can apply a full year sooner. OES also supports Quebec families seeking a structured virtual homeschooling alternative for Grades 9–12.

Continuing Education at OES is built for students who need a single course, not a diploma. Repeat a course you didn’t pass the first time, upgrade a mark that’s holding back your application, or switch pathways — like moving from a college-level to a university-level credit. Our dedicated Upgrade courses carry a focused workload designed for students who’ve already seen the material, so you can retake ENG4U, MHF4U, MCV4U, and other high-demand credits efficiently. Enrollment is open 365 days a year: start today, finish in as little as 4 weeks, and put your best mark forward.

PLAR is the Ontario Ministry of Education’s formal process for converting your prior education — completed in Canada or abroad, with or without documents — into OSSD credits. As a Ministry-inspected school, OES evaluates your transcripts, credentials, training, and experience, then tells you exactly how many of the 30 diploma credits you’ve already earned and which courses remain. Many adult students discover they’re far closer to graduating than they thought. The equivalency assessment includes an Ontario Student Record set up in our office and a clear, personalized path to your diploma.

You can complete a course in as little as 4 weeks, and you have up to 12 months. Enrollment is open 365 days a year, so you can start today and set your own pace — there are no fixed class times or semester start dates.
