What is an Upgrade Course?

Students who want to raise their marks in classes that they have already successfully passed and received credit for are the target audience for upgrade high school courses. The higher of the two grades will appear on the student’s transcript, with the lower grade having an “R” next to it. How Does One Take Tests in Online Schooling?

At Ontario eSecondary (OES), all unit assessments and final exams are closed-book and taken online while being watched over by a qualified proctor. Students can make arrangements for their own proctor to come to meet them in person to oversee the test or exam. This is written in a time setting that the student finds most convenient and secure. This proctor can be somebody like a teacher, neighbour, counsellor, social worker, manager, or other.

A minimum of 48 to 72 hours before the planned date, the student must request to take the test or final exam by having the proctor fill out the OES Proctor Form, which is available in your course.

The proctor will get thorough test instructions via email if they are authorized. The student and the authorized proctor can then take the exam as planned.
